Over the last month, students (and staff) at LWS have been very excited to welcome “Domino”, the newest addition to the LWS Community Art Project family. The handsome hare is a part of the the Hampshire Hares art project and with culminate in an art trail around the historic city of Winchester. Students had to submit the overall concept for approval and once finalised began drafting and finalising their puzzle pieces. Domino will be able to be viewed as part of this art trail and more details will be released once dates are confirmed. This collaborative project has allowed all students and staff to talk about the concept of art as well as the enjoyment and therapeutic nature of this process. Once the art trail has finished, Domino will return home to LWS and take pride of place with Gary the Rhino and Gloria the Zebra.
