A specialist SEN school for secondary aged boys with Social, Emotional and Mental Health needs

WINNER: Community Engagement Initiative

Having been shortlisted for two Tes Awards this year, representatives from the GFM attended an awards ceremony on Friday evening in London. And, we are REALLY proud to announce that the GFM won the award for Community Engagement Initiative of the Year. Judge Sir Tim Brighouse said: “They demonstrated all sorts of data showing that they were bothering to see not only what they did but whether it had an impact.”

Tes editor and chair of judges Jon Severs said, ‘The Tes Schools Awards are the Oscars of education, recognising and celebrating everything that’s great about our schools and school staff.'”

Stuart Parker-Tyreman, our Executive Director for Extended Services, said: “We’re quite overwhelmed. This is recognition for the whole team and what they’ve achieved.”

For the first year, independent schools and state schools attended the same event. For more information about why the GFM won, please read here.

Photos attached. I have used the photo of colleagues on the stage as the ‘feature’ photo as this makes the article more human I think and it the one used by The News.
