A specialist SEN school for secondary aged boys with Social, Emotional and Mental Health needs

Home-School communication is an essential part of our working relationship with families. LWS uses Arbor as our main communication medium and can use the following methods of communication;

Telephone – Tutors regularly liaise with parents/ carers regarding their sons school day. Important messages will be communicated via the telephone.

Post/ Email – The school will email and post all letters to parents. Your emailed copy serves as record of all correspondence with the school and therefore previous letters will not be found on the school website. All school emails can be responded to and will be picked up by the school office and forwarded it onto the correct member of staff.

Text/ SMS messages – the quickest and easiest way for our staff team to communicate with large audiences. Often used for quick announcements/ reminders, texts are also used to celebrate successes with families and are often typed and sent in real time (during lessons).

Twitter – the school has a twitter account which is used to update our followers on ‘Life at LWS’ and to celebrate our students work. You can follow us on Twitter by following; @LWSAcademy

Home-School Agreement:

Each year, LWS asks parents/ carers to read and commit to our home-school agreement. This represents the commitment that all  immediate stakeholders adhere to throughout the academic year.

The most recent copy of our home school agreement can be downloaded here.
